Hi all,
We live in Kew with our 3 children aged 6.5, 4.5 and 2.5; our daughter goes to Camberwell Primary while the other two do a mix of kinder (Hawthorn East) + childcare (Kew).
I am looking for someone who could help weekday afternoons from around 3-6pm - helping with school pick-ups and drop-offs to after-school activities for the oldest 2. We’d need help 1-2 days a week - regular Wednesdays + occasional Mondays / Tuesdays.
During school holidays or weeks when one parent is traveling for work, we may also ask for more hours - as possible.
Ideally, we would love to find someone who is:
* Mature and experienced - bringing confidence, comfort and good judgment around small kids - able to bring fun and playfulness yet maintain firm boundaries
* Warm and kind - creating strong positive attachments with our kids
* Engaged and development oriented - thoughtful about exposing the kids to activities and experiences that will help them learn and grow - i.e., talking and playing vs looking at phones + screens
*Trustworthy, responsible and prompt - shows up when and where promised - always acts with honesty and integrity - proactive in helping where needed
* Respectful - listens to and supports our intentions as parents - takes care to leave the space better than you found it
* Flexible - quick to adapt as needs evolve, willingly flexing tasks / timing to support where it’s most needed
* Has a drivers license, car and clean driving record - and willing and able to drive 2 kids
Bonus points would be someone who:
* Has flexibility for additional hours as needed (esp. during school holidays)
* Speaks French
