Meet Claudia: A nanny and babysitter in Malvern East, VIC

Hi! I’m Claudia, I’m 18 years old and grew up in Malvern, where I attended Lauriston Girls’ School. I have an older brother, and growing up in a busy, family-focused household sparked my love for caring for children. I now nanny and babysit regularly, and I find it such a rewarding role.

I have over 4 years of experience working with families and have cared for children of all ages, from babies as young as 6 months through to teenagers. With infants and toddlers, I’m confident in all aspects of care, including preparing bottles, feeding, changing nappies, and settling them for naps or bedtime. I understand how important routine and consistency are for little ones, and I take pride in providing gentle, attentive care.

At the moment, I nanny for a 5 and 7 year old two to three times a week. My role includes school pickups, preparing snacks and dinners, helping with after-school routines, baths and planning engaging activities. Alongside this, I do casual babysitting for other families, which has given me experience with a wide range of ages and personalities.

When I’m with children, I love keeping them busy with activities that are both fun and stimulating. At home, this often looks like baking, doing arts and crafts, reading together or playing games. I also enjoy taking kids out to the park, the library or on little adventures, giving them opportunities to explore and learn in different environments.

Families describe me as reliable, warm, and proactive. I always put the children’s safety and happiness first, and I make sure to keep open communication with parents so you feel confident and comfortable at all times.
