Hi Mum and Dads.
My name is Monique and I am base in the North Shore. I am a compassionate and driven 22-year-old emerging social worker in the final semester of my Bachelor of Social Work at Western Sydney University. Alongside my studies, I have successfully run my own activewear business for the past three years, strengthening my leadership, organisation, creativity, initiative, and ability to balance multiple responsibilities. With over eight years of experience supporting children and families across schools, preschools, clinics, community settings, and private homes, I have developed strong communication skills, emotional maturity, patience, and a trauma-informed approach to practice. Throughout my studies, I have also gained valuable experience working with families in private nannying roles while completing a placement with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, where I developed advanced skills in case writing, client assessments, initial client contact, conference coordination, and supporting individuals and families through highly sensitive and complex matters—practical experience that many students at this stage of their careers have not yet had the opportunity to gain. Outside of my professional experience, I am incredibly family-orientated and believe strong family values are the foundation of a happy and supportive home. I love to cook—it has always been in my blood—and I enjoy creating warm, welcoming environments that bring people together. I consider myself a well-rounded individual who is fun, energetic, creative, respectful, reliable, and approachable. I pride myself on having strong morals and values and strive to be a positive role model for the children I care for, demonstrating kindness, empathy, integrity, and respect in everything I do. I am passionate about helping children, young people, and families thrive, and I bring warmth, dedication, professionalism, and a genuine love for working with people to every opportunity.
