Meet Kerry: A nanny and babysitter in North Sydney, NSW

Hello!

I’m a professional Career Nanny with 25+ years’ experience working with children of all ages, from newborns through to teenagers, around the world. I also have many years’ experience as a Personal Assistant, hold a Diploma in Nutrition and have worked as a maternity nanny, sole-charge nanny, governess, English tutor, proxy parent, agency babysitter and holiday nanny.

I’ve worked with private families, through babysitting and nanny agencies, and in high-profile, fully staffed households. My international experience includes Russia, Turkey, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Singapore, working with families from many different cultures and backgrounds.

After recently returning to Australia, I’ve been working in Sydney and Newcastle in a variety of roles (house manager, maternity nanny, proxy parent and babysitter). I’m currently open to new opportunities (whether that’s a 2-3 jobs of 2 days each, temp roles, maternity nanny stints, or a great full-time position with the right family). I’m always happy to have a chat about any roles you think I might be interested in.

I’m warm, friendly, professional, proactive, responsible, reliable, organised, fun, energetic and adaptable, with excellent communication skills. I’m fun and playful with children and have a natural ability to bring out the best in them, while providing calm, consistent boundaries and age-appropriate structure and discipline. I love encouraging children’s curiosity, confidence and learning, and enjoy getting out and about to parks, libraries and educational activities.

I have a strong interest in children’s (and everybody’s) health, wellbeing and education. I’m happy to cook for the kids and assist with household organisation. My PA experience in legal, accounting and film production has given me strong administration, scheduling, travel and organisational skills. I also owned and operated my own retail business in New Zealand, importing jewellery sourced through my travels and international connections.

I have my own car, a clean driving licence and I love animals.
