Looking for a Warm, Relational Helper for Our Busy Family Life
We are a lively, happy family of seven – two parents, five wonderful kids aged 3 to 15, and a friendly dog! We’re looking for a kind, warm, and fun person to become part of our village, supporting us in the daily rhythm of family life.
This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and young people, who is patient, caring, and knows how to create a calm, connected environment even in the midst of a busy household.
What We’d Love Help With:
• After-school support (3 days a week, 3pm–6pm): School pick-ups, simple meal prep, homework help, and gentle encouragement for tidying bedrooms.
• One of those days starting earlier (around midday) to help with light housekeeping: vacuuming, laundry, and helping tidy.
• One-on-one mentoring for our older kids (ages 11–15): Supporting them with meal prep, tidying, and homework organisation as needed.
• A half-day every second weekend (or so) to give us parents time to recharge.
• Light dog care as part of the family rhythm. He is in training as a therapy dog and a beautiful little pup.
Hours & Pay:
• Approx. 12–15 hours per week
• $40 per hour
• Family is based in Warranwood.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
• Is warm, reliable, and fun – someone who can connect with kids in a gentle, respectful way.
• Is experienced working with children of various ages and comfortable in a busy household.
• Can cook simple, nourishing meals and enjoys helping kids learn in the kitchen.
• Is comfortable around dogs and happy to share the love with our furry friend.
How to Apply:
If this sounds like a great fit for you, we’d love to hear from you! Please send us a message sharing a little about yourself, your experience, and why you’d love to join our family as our helping hand.
