We’re a relaxed and happy family looking for a caring, reliable and experienced carer to help with our two boys (ages 6 and 10) at least two afternoons a week – ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays – starting late July or early August. We’re flexible around uni schedules, exams, and study needs. There’s also the opportunity for extra hours during school holidays and occasional evening babysitting if interested.
🕒 Hours: Approximately 3:15pm – 6:15pm
📍 Location: Brighton, VIC
✨ What the role involves:
School pick-up (by car)
Active playtime and supporting homework for 10-year-old
Preparing and cooking simple dinners
Light tidy-up
💡 About you:
We’re looking for someone who:
Enjoys being active – think cubby-house building, colouring, basketball hoops, pool time, and general fun!
Is confident preparing snacks and dinner for the kids
Has prior babysitting or nanny experience
Is independent, responsible, and shows initiative
Has a kind, calm nature yet knows how to have fun
Helps maintain a smooth and balanced household rhythm
Is happy to lend a hand in the kitchen
Holds a driver’s licence (own car required, we have spare car-seat)
Lives locally or not too far from Brighton
Please note: We’re ideally looking for someone who is staying in Melbourne longer-term, so this role may not suit short-term travellers.
💰 Rate: Negotiable based on experience
