We are looking for a long term nanny to join our family in caring for our two girls (4.5yrs and 7yrs). Start date can be flexible, and ideally by the 16/02/2026.
Our ideal candidate is a career nanny or experienced uni student with a flexible timetable who is kind, active, with a big imagination who finds humour in the chaos and wants to make a lasting connection with our girls.
About us: Dad is an anaesthetist with long and varying hours. Mum is a paediatric cardiac nurse also studying. We live walking distance (10-15mins) to Elsternwick Park, Elsternwick station, Elwood shopping strip and Martin St. We try to parent with respect and understanding of normal childhood development and behaviour (see @biglittlefeelings and @drbeckyatgoodinside for general principles). Our goal is to ensure our kids feel loved, valued and safe. Our previous nanny is happy to speak to candidates as our reference too.
We have a very friendly english bulldog named Louis who loves company. Experience and a love of dogs is essential. Both girls love gymnastics, art, music, Lego, and no day is complete without a jump on the trampoline!
Role and Responsibilities: School pick up and drop off Tuesday and Thursdays, with flexible occasional Mondays. Light housework (unpacking the dishwasher, kids food prep, folding clothes etc...), and dog walking is extremely helpful to us.
Job nitty gritty: Happy to pay 4weeks annual leave and sick leave pro-rata. Pay $35p/hr for the right experience.
