Meet Stephanie: A nanny in Middle Park, VIC

Hello, my name is Stephanie, I’m 18 years old and I have completed Year 12 VCE at Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak, graduating in 2024. This year, I am attending university at Deakin University and am completing a Bachelor of Science. I have one older sister, Sam, who currently nannies for a Peas family and has been for two years now. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and being outdoors. I have grown up in Melbourne my whole life and have enjoyed it.

I have experience babysitting, where my responsibilities included engaging the children in fun and educational activities, preparing simple meals, and ensuring their routines were followed smoothly. I also helped with bedtime routines, storytime, and keeping them entertained with outdoor play. Through this experience, I have developed a strong sense of responsibility and patience, which I believe are essential qualities for a nanny. I have also spend lots of one on one time with my now 5-year-old cousin, helping out my aunty and uncle. I have I am comfortable with nappy changes and providing children with their appropriate needs for each age group

I also have customer service experience from working at a fruit and vegetable shop in the South Melbourne Market, where I served customers of all ages. This role helped me build strong communication skills and confidence in a fast-paced environment.

I am looking forward to getting to know the children and spending time with them, as well as encouraging outdoor activities. I am happy to help with homework, do fun crafts and activities, and take the children to sports, after-school activities, or appointments. I’m also happy to clean up around the house and do any washing necessary, depending on the family’s needs.
