Meet Monika: A nanny and babysitter in Beaumaris, VIC

Hello, I’m Monika 🌸

I’m a warm, fun loving, intuitive nanny, a mum of three (all grown up now), and a qualified Art Therapist, with many years of experience caring for my own children and others of all ages, from newborns and toddlers through to teens.

I love working alongside parents, including those who work from home, or comfortable caring for children independently. I have a special place in my heart for supporting new parents as they begin their parenting journey with a newborn, and can help mums transition gently from maternity leave back into work life.

I have extensive experience supporting breastfeeding, breast-to-bottle transitions, and helping with baby attachment and settling, always with a calm, reassuring and nurturing approach.

My care style is gentle, calm and emotionally supportive, with plenty of fun, play, creativity and connection. I’m organised, confident with routines. My priority is to help children feel safe, confident, heard and happy in themselves.

I can assist with:

• Newborn and infant care (absolutely love babies… intend on volunteering as a cuddler/baby buddy at NICU when I retire).

• Kinder and school drop-offs and pick-ups (I have a drivers license), but also love walking if kinder/school are close by

• Homework support, lots of reading and quiet study time

• Preparing healthy meals and snacks (love baking)

• Outdoor/indoor play, music, dance, games and creative arts activities to support fine motor skills, creativity and confidence

• Art-based emotional support to help children express themselves and build self-esteem

• Light tidying/housework, laundry, relating to children

• Creating calm, consistent and nurturing daily routines in a fun way.

I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child, and every family deserves kind-hearted, trustworthy support along the way.

I’m available for part-time, casual nanny work to begin with and possibly more hours if we are a good fit.

I’m happy to obtain updated Working With Children Check, my First Aid has expired but happy to sit a refresher course (particularly interested in obtaining infant first aid, if job requires), Police Check, and references.

📍 Based in Bayside (Beaumaris, Black Rock, Brighton, Elwood, Hampton, Sandringham, Mentone, Parkdale), and would consider travelling a little further for the right family.
