Meet Lori: A nanny and babysitter in Parkdale, VIC

Hi! I'm Lori, and I'm 26 years old. Originally from a small country town in northern Victoria, I made the move to the Gold Coast in 2019 to commence my university studies. I have just graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Griffith University, although wanting to have a break/put my career on pause and work until I figure out which direction I want to take (paediatrics being my main passion area). My journey has been quite diverse. I initially studied Primary Teaching for a year and absolutely loved my time spent with kids during my teaching placements. I've also had the incredible opportunity to live in London, where I worked in a school environment as a teacher's assistant. It was during this time that I had the privilege of working one-on-one with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). This experience was incredibly rewarding and added a new dimension to my skill set. In terms of my babysitting experience, I have been a nanny for kids of ages ranging from 6 months old - 14 years old, of which I am more than happy to provide references upon request. I believe my diverse experiences have prepared me well for this path, and I'm excited to continue pursuing my passion for working with children.
