Meet Justine: A nanny and babysitter in Hurstville, NSW

Hi there,

My name is Justine. I am 18 years old and I am looking for work as a Babysitter in Sydney.

I am currently on my post-high school gap year, where I have worked for 3 months (from March to June 2025) as an au-pair for an Italian family in Florence, Italy. Within this role, I au paired the 3 children, including an 8-year-old boy, a 12-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old boy. I was responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of the children, playing with them, encouraging them to do their homework and clean their spaces, helping the children get ready for school every day, picking them up from school, making snacks for them, and taking the children to extracurricular activities.

Prior to this opportunity, I also gained over 65 hours worth of child care experience through volunteering at local childcare centres in my area. In these roles, I looked after young children from 2-5 years old, where I spent my time playing with the children, reading to them, tidying up with them, helping the children interact with their fellow classmates; all while guaranteeing the safety of each pupil.

I would absolutely love to become a Babysitter as I have a passion for childcare and encouraging children to embrace their curiosity and creativity every day. I really enjoy being responsible for the welfare of children and helping children learn as much as possible about the world around them.
