Meet Lisa: A nanny in Brighton, VIC

Hi, I’m Lisa. I have a background in nannying and have raised two children of my own, who are now young adults.

My formal childcare experience was some years ago: I worked part-time in childcare while at university, and after graduating, I spent two years in the UK as both a live-in and live-out nanny. I formed close relationships with the families and children I cared for during that time. Also, having been a working parent, I relate to the importance of having a nanny who is reliable, calm, and works in partnership to support the family's routines and parenting styles. I have a WWC check and a recent first aid qualification.

A bit more about me: after nannying, I built a career in HR and have been studying classical realist art. I enjoy creative activities of all kinds; I possess natural curiosity, a love of learning and am friendly and social. My husband is retired and into indoor climbing and fitness, my son has recently finished university and is in Japan with his girlfriend, and my daughter is halfway through a double degree. I really enjoy being a parent and have a close relationship with both children, who are confident, happy, adults and good company.

We share our home with a border collie/golden retriever and a cat, so I’m very comfortable around pets. I am happy to complete a police check if required and provide references.
