Meet Akane: A nanny and babysitter in Labrador, QLD

Hi, my name is Akane. I’m a qualified nurse from Japan and currently living in the Gold Coast on a Working Holiday visa. I hold a valid Blue Card and am available for casual babysitting.

I’m currently studying General English at a language school and looking for part-time work where I can support families and spend time with children and support their development.

I have hands-on experience caring for my two young nieces (ages 1 and 3) and have often looked after my friends' children in Japan. I also worked in a hospital in Japan, mainly in the pediatric ward, where I supported young patients and their families.

I love spending time with children — playing, reading stories, and helping with daily routines. I’m calm, caring, and responsible, and always make sure to create a safe and warm environment for children.

I'm happy to help with light housework, meal preparation, and after-school care if needed. I speak Japanese and conversational English.
