Meet Addison: A nanny and babysitter in Tyabb, VIC

I am an 18-year-old support worker, I have just completed Certificate III in Disability and Individual Support. I am passionate about person-centred care and creating safe, engaging environments where individuals feel valued, heard, and empowered.

Having completed Year 11 and 12 placements in a childcare setting, I developed a strong foundation in child-led play, inclusive support, and fostering independence. These experiences inspired me to continue her studies in disability and individual support, where I am building my skills in providing compassionate, individualised care.

I bring a gentle, kind and empathetic nature to my work. I am fun and supportive, knowing when to be silly and playful and when to be calm and focused. Living with ADHD, which I proudly sees as her superpower, I brings creativity, energy and outside-the-box thinking to everything I do.

Outside of support work, I loves music, motorbike riding, camping, fishing, wakeboarding and surfing behind the boat. I enjoy trying new things, spending time outdoors, crafting, and connecting with animals of all kinds. In fact, I’m not even afraid of spiders!
