Meet Dakota: A nanny and babysitter in Jindalee, QLD

My name is Dakota, I am 24 years old, and my pronouns are she/her. I have completed a Bachelors of Psychological Science and am looking to study a Masters in Primary Teaching in the future. I have always had a passion for supporting others no matter their ability. I have recently moved to Brisbane from Melbourne, where I was working in Child Protection for the Victorian Government. In this role I supported children to reach their full potential and, provided them with intensive support to reduce any further risks of harm. In this role I worked with many children who had ADHD, Autism and other complex high needs.

I have also worked as a nanny/housekeeper for a family in Melbourne for 4 years (caring for their gorgeous girl since she was 6 months old). This has mainly consisted of play time, feeding, going for walks, nap time, learning time and performing general household tasks (cooking dinners, laundry, cleaning). I am confident in working with children of all ages, and can assure you that your children will be safe in my care.

I consider myself to be very confident, and a very good communicator. I am always happy to take on whatever is thrown at me and give it my best go, as I am flexible and adaptable. In my spare time, you will generally find me taking my dog (Spider) for a walk, out for a run/in the gym, playing football, or making my way to the beach for a swim !!

I would absolutely love for the chance to be able to support whoever is in need, by using my enthusiasm and energy to ensure they get what they need and deserve. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it be having a picnic or being active, I believe with the uprise in technology, all children need to be encouraged to engage in consistent outdoor activities!
