Meet Joo hyun: A nanny and babysitter in West End, QLD

Hi! My name is Joohyun, and I’m from South Korea. I’ll be starting a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at TAFE in July 2025.

From late 2020 to early 2022, I worked as an ESL teacher for elementary school students in an after-school program. I also volunteered at an English education camp, where I cared for and assisted children aged 4 to 7.

I first came to Australia on a Working Holiday visa in 2024 and gained valuable work experience in customer service and production roles, including at a travel agency, LUSH, and CSL vaccine factory.

I have always enjoyed spending time with children—especially since I grew up helping care for my 12 younger siblings and cousins.
