Meet Amy: A nanny and babysitter in Brighton, VIC

Hi! My name is Amy, and I’m currently in my third year of university at Monash. I’m a responsible, friendly, patient, and engaging 20-year-old who absolutely loves working with children.

I’ve had extensive experience caring for kids of all ages and have been casually babysitting since 2020. Over the years, I’ve become confident in cooking, tidying up, and coming up with fun and creative activities to keep children entertained and happy.

Previously, I worked as a swim instructor, where I taught water safety and basic swimming skills to children ranging from babies (with parents) to 12-year-olds. This role helped me develop strong management skills, as I regularly worked with groups of up to six children—keeping them safe, engaged, and confident in the water. If you're interested, I’d be more than happy to offer casual swimming lessons too!

In addition to babysitting and swim teaching, I’ve been coaching netball for the past five years, working with kids aged 10 to 17. This has given me even more experience in building rapport, encouraging teamwork, and supporting children to feel confident and included. While I take on the role of a coach and mentor, I also focus on building genuine connections with the players to ensure they feel comfortable and valued.

I have a current Working With Children Check, a driver’s license and my own car, and I’m fully vaccinated (including against COVID-19). I’m available to start as soon as needed and would love to chat further or provide references if you’re interested!
