Meet Gissell Marith: A nanny and babysitter in Hawthorn, VIC

Hello Dear Family,

My name is Gissell, I am 24 years old and originally from Colombia. I have been living, studying, and working in Australia for over two years. I completed a Diploma of Community Services and a Certificate III in Individual Support, and I am currently studying a Certificate III in Pathology before starting my Master of Nursing at Monash University.

For the past two years, I have been working in aged care as a Personal Care Assistant, supporting elderly residents with compassion and responsibility. Caring for others has always been my passion, and now I would love to bring that same dedication to working as a nanny.

I have experience caring for children both in Colombia and here in Australia. Back home, I looked after my younger brother and cousin, and in Australia, I have worked as a nanny for families and also cared for the children of close friends. These experiences have helped me develop patience, responsibility, and creativity when looking after kids.

I love creating a fun and safe environment, helping with light housekeeping, and preparing meals. I especially enjoy cooking and baking with children—making cookies or cakes together is one of my favorite activities.

I speak fluent Spanish and English, so I can communicate easily and even help children learn a second language.

In my free time, I enjoy jogging, swimming, and I absolutely love animals, so I am very comfortable with pets at home. I also hold a Working With Children Check (WWCC), First Aid Certificate, and NDIS clearance, and I can provide references.
