Meet Ruby: A nanny and babysitter in Mckinnon, VIC

Hi, I'm Ruby!

After graduating with a Bachelor's in Screen & Media, I have since started a Certificate IV in Youth Work which I hope to conclude by the end of this year.

This is an area of work that I've been particularly passionate about for quite some time. For the last few years I have been involved in array of volunteering programs across Victoria, all of which relate to youth empowerment.

I am a regular Youth-Group Leader at SandyLife Baptist Church, and spent a year or so as a Mentor-Group Leader at their associated Flourish & Junior Leadership Program that focuses on supporting Year 6 & 7 girls through their transition into High School.

I have also volunteered as a Holiday Camp Leader through CYC Ministries since 2021, building meaningful connections with campers between Years 3-12.

Through these opportunities, I’ve had the privilege to engage with a diverse range of people, and it has encouraged me to think on my feet in fast-paced, unpredictable and sometimes challenging situations. I am dedicated to creating positive and supportive environments, that foster a sense of fun, creativity and personal growth for every kid!

Additionally, I have spent several years working in hospitality and customer service, with the completion of necessary Barista, Food Handling/Allergen and First Aid/CPR training.

I am also being a massive animal lover, having some experience with both dog-walking and petsitting (dogs and cats).

In my personal time, I love exploring outdoors or letting my creativity shine, with a particular love of all things film, music and books.
