Meet Georgina: A nanny and babysitter in Carlton North, VIC

Hi, I'm Georgie!

I just finished my Arts/Law degree and am taking some time to volunteer and recalibrate after five long years of study. I am looking for casual/part-time nannying, as I have come to recognise how caring for children, as a big sister and guardian, is my most treasured and joyful commitment.

I have years of experience babysitting for various families throughout my degree, including three years consistently with one family of two boys (6 & 11). As the eldest of three, I have always been highly involved in caring for my siblings while my single mother worked full-time as an emergency doctor over the years. Therefore, I also have extensive background experience prior to uni, including babysitting for various family friends.

I have experience with all the daily tasks involved, including cooking, cleaning, dropping off + picking up from school, tutoring, shopping, and taking children to swimming lessons etc. I am flexible and happy to fit into the dynamic and needs of your family.

I originally moved here from a small rural town on the coast, where I enjoy swimming, surfing, and hiking in my spare time, I'd love to share my love for nature with children. I have volunteered across various environments which I'd love to tell you more about, currently with Indigenous peoples' housing and environmental justice enitiatives.

I have recently updated my First Aid certificate and Working With Childrens Check.

I really enjoy caring for children with special needs. I have years of experience with neurodiverse kids and volunteered time supervising children in water safety in 'Special Nippers' with children with disabilities during high school. This revealed how much I enjoy working with children and earned me an award from the Surf Lifesaving Club for my contribution.
