I am a retired mum of a 19 year old. It will be a little while before I get any grandies hopefully, so I need little people in my life. As the eldest of 5 siblings I’d always hoped I’d have a few children but as a result of finding my husband later in my life I was only lucky enough to have one. I am fit, fun loving and adore children. I’d love to work with your family.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there! I am very excited about meeting and getting to know you. ABOUT ME: I have been providing childcare over the past 22 years, and I have looked after more than 50 children in this time. The last 9 of those years, I have been a Nanny. I have worked with many different families: with 1-4 children; twins with a younger sibling, all girls, all boys, brothers & sisters; with an age range of 9mths - 12 years old. As all children & families are different I like to stay adaptable, to meet the needs of the unique situation. Some children are runners, some are quite contemplators, others always need to be crafting and creating big cardboard constructions, while another is quite happy to sit while colouring in and drawing hrs on end. However they all ask questions non stop, lols. And I love that because of their curiosity, I too learn; from having to google answers to the questions I don’t have answers for, e.g. I now know the oldest living animal is the Greenland shark, and it is guessed to have a lifespan of 250-500 yrs. With the current oldest one guessed to be 300 years old! But I only learned this because one child I looked after LOVED the ocean and all its wonders. :) I find I lean towards the Montessori Method of teaching children. I follow the theme of their current interest for play, games and conversations, and I like to incorporate their current obsession, be it space or dinosaurs into our word & math games and everything else we do together. MORNING ROUTINE; breakfast, lunch boxes, school bag packing, day-care/kinder/school drop offs -For the little ones when at home and not at daycare/kindy. I like to have our week planned. Be it excursions to the zoo, park, an indoor play center, library time or classes that helps their development: that the parents have enrolled them into, or I have found that the Mum’s & Dad’s like; e.g. Gymbaroo, Ready steady go, All Sports etc., to activities we can do at the house like baking or painting or even a playdate with their friend/s. HOUSE MANAGEMENT; groceries, maintenance of pantry & basic medicine (ie expiry dates & organisation), light laundry duties, light house keeping, tiding up after myself & the little ones, keeping the kitchen clean & hygienic, school holiday & pupil free day planning, meal planning, food & meal prep (dietary requirements taken into consideration) multi-tasking and other Ad-Hoc tasks. AFTERNOON ROUTINE; networking with other parents & carers at the children’s school- that the children are friends with or do extra curriculum’s with, extracurricular coordination (this is where the networking can sometimes help with car pooling & swapping weeks), planning of play dates, supervise-assistance with homework and practice for their extra curriculum’s. With additional extras from me if wanted/needed or time permits (eg. Music theory, maths etc.) ***I have help children further develop their music skills with my attention and knowledge than what they get in 1 30min class a week. And I have helped with development of their Math & literacy skills. HOWEVER my proudest achievement was some how managing to help my French charge (when an AuPair in Paris) go from an almost F (from her former AuPair) in her French Class to an A. While I was only at a very basic beginner level with my own French skills. EVENING ROUTINE; Shower/bath time, dinner, oral hygiene, an evening game (if time permits) and attend their unique bedtime routine. HISTORY SUMMARY: •2002-2003 I started child caring when I was 14: for my piano teacher’s son. I cared for him 3 days a week, (after school) from the age of 2-8, while his mother worked from home: I had to master the skill of noise level control, while I was young & noisy myself. •2003-2005 Once I was 16 I began to babysit for other families during the evenings & weekends. •2006-2009 Durning my tertiary studies I babysat casually between my part-time job and classes. •2010-2015 I babysat and assisted as a mother's helper, whilst working 4 part-time jobs. •2016-2017 I was an AuPair in Paris. And fell in LOVE with France. •2017-2017 Back in Melb; I did causal & part-time child-care, for families with babies, toddlers & preschoolers. Until I found a family that needed a Full-time Nanny. NOTE: for the below the ages are how old the children were when I left. •July 2017-July 2020: F/T Nanny—4 Days a week: Full Days, for a family of 5; 3 girls aged: 7, 10 & 12. • Feb 2021-Aug 2021: Temp P/T Nanny—5 Days a week: Split days, for a family of 4; 1 boy aged 9 & girl aged 7. •Sept 2021-Dec 2024: F/T Nanny—5 Days a week: 2 Full & 3 Half days, for a family of 4: 2 boys aged 5 & 9. ESSENTIALS: - Valid Victorian Drivers Licence - WWCC: exp. 26/10/2028 - Police Check: exp. 20.09.25 - Level 2: First Aid (inclusive: Asthma, CPR exp. June 2025, & Epi-pen) exp. June 2027 - CV: with copies of my credentials - References If you have read this far, I look forward to receiving a message from you. ☺️

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi! My name is Amy, and I’m currently in my third year of university at Monash. I’m a responsible, friendly, patient, and engaging 20-year-old who absolutely loves working with children. I’ve had extensive experience caring for kids of all ages and have been casually babysitting since 2020. Over the years, I’ve become confident in cooking, tidying up, and coming up with fun and creative activities to keep children entertained and happy. Previously, I worked as a swim instructor, where I taught water safety and basic swimming skills to children ranging from babies (with parents) to 12-year-olds. This role helped me develop strong management skills, as I regularly worked with groups of up to six children—keeping them safe, engaged, and confident in the water. If you're interested, I’d be more than happy to offer casual swimming lessons too! In addition to babysitting and swim teaching, I’ve been coaching netball for the past five years, working with kids aged 10 to 17. This has given me even more experience in building rapport, encouraging teamwork, and supporting children to feel confident and included. While I take on the role of a coach and mentor, I also focus on building genuine connections with the players to ensure they feel comfortable and valued. I have a current Working With Children Check, a driver’s license and my own car, and I’m fully vaccinated (including against COVID-19). I’m available to start as soon as needed and would love to chat further or provide references if you’re interested! Feel free to reach out with any questions, I look forward to hearing from you :)

I am currently working with a two year-old that I have been looking after since he was about five months old. He has transitioned to some daycare so my hours have been reduced and I am looking for a few days work ideally with a newborn in the Bayside area. After completing my diploma at Melbourne University in 1993 I began my career in childcare Centres in Melbourne for 3 years before heading overseas to work as a nanny. USA, Switzerland, England and Australia I worked long term positions and grew close to the families I worked with. I now have 2 children of my own (13 & 15) and have been working consistently for the last 5 to 6 years and have some current references.I feel comfortable with children of all ages, have newborn experience, (let me help set up good sleep and feeding routines), and have had experience working with twins. I am active and enjoy spending time at the park or going for a walk, love creative art with kids, happy to prepare food and help out where needed. I’ve completed first aid many times but need to update. Please reach out if you feel. I might be a good match for your family and are looking for a couple of days a week care.
