Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, I’m Ellie. I’m 22 and based in Elsternwick. I’m an experienced nanny who has worked with multiple families over the years, mainly with children aged 1–3. I’m currently working with a few families. At the moment I am looking for more afternoon/night work. If you're looking for an occasional or regular night off please get in touch! I have a Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care, with placement experience in a daycare setting. I have worked as a swimming instructor, teaching all age groups, including babies from 12 weeks old. I’m enthusiastic, reliable, and genuinely love working with children. I prioritise safety while creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support each child’s growth. I have a strong interest in early childhood development and find it incredibly rewarding to help children build skills, confidence, and independence. My approach is centred around patience and kindness, with clear and consistent boundaries. I aim to support children through their emotions in a calm and understanding way, using redirection and age-appropriate communication to guide behaviour. I focus on meeting children where they’re at, adjusting my approach to keep things positive, engaging, and supportive. Whilst teaching them building blocks to support themselves independently. I’m very creative and enjoy designing activities that align with each child’s interests while encouraging learning and development. This often looks like messages taught with their favourite characters, or hands on activities focused on cause and effect. With babies, I place a strong emphasis on communication and interaction, as this plays a key role in early language development. This tends to look like narrating what they are looking at and linking them with key words: soft/big/far/up I look forward to the opportunity to work with your family

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hey there, My name is Chloe and I've been nannying/babysitting for many years around the Bayside area. I nannied full-time for two separate families between June 2017 and August 2019 whilst completing my undergraduate studies, and have babysat for various families in the area since 2016. I grew up in a big extended family (on both sides), and have always been surrounded by kids, toddlers and babies. I studied Nursing/Midwifery for a year after school, and whilst this wasn't the career for me in the end, I learnt a great deal in that year. I'm still very interested in childhood development and love getting to know kids of all ages; I think they can teach you great perspective and how to enjoy the little things in life. I also became an Auntie in 2023 and have been helping my brother and SIL out with the little one ever since, so I’m very comfortable with babies and toddlers! My gorgeous niece is now 2.5 :) I'm involved in a school tutoring program for children living in the Collingwood and Richmond commission housing through Operation Stitches and am finding this extremely rewarding to be a part of. I tutor two Year 6 kids and it's been fantastic to watch them grow in both confidence and skills throughout the school year. A bit about me - I love to get out in nature as much as possible, enjoy gardening and tending to my ridiculous amount of indoor plants! I'm a huge animal lover, and volunteer with a rescue organisation which I absolutely love; they have a farm sanctuary in the Yarra Valley which I try to get to once a month. I also love to cook, head on walks with my 8 yo dog and I certainly get around a board game! Regarding my availability, I'm currently working at a cafe as I was made redundant from my corporate role in December, so my availability changes week to week. I'm available weeknights after 3pm and weekends for the foreseeable future. I want to be transparent that I am looking for a full-time role in my field, but I don't know how long that will take. Due to this, I'm not a suitable match for families who are looking for a long-term commitment and I also don't want to waste your time! I'm currently working at a cafe 4-5 days a week and finish by 2.30/3pm each day I’m there. The roster changes slightly week to week, but my manager can be flexible for certain days off to accommodate my nannying/babysitting if need be. I have a WWCC, Police Check and First Aid and am happy to provide all of this to you if you'd like. I can also provide you with references, both current and past families. Feel free to get in touch! Thanks, Chloe

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi families! My name is Crystal, and I’m a third year university student at Deakin University. I am currently studying the Bachelor of Biomedical Science, with the aim of getting into Medicine. I’m passionate about caring for others, which is reflected both in my studies and in the way I approach working with children (calm, attentive, loving). Over the past year, I have worked as an after-school and school holiday nanny for two boys aged 4 and 6. My afternoons with them have been spent doing trips to the playground and pool, baking, games and lots of outdoor play. I also joined the family on an overseas holiday, supporting the children and acting as an extra set of hands, so I’m very comfortable in both home and travel settings. In addition to this, I have very hands-on experience as a mother’s helper with my two nephews (currently 19 months and 15 weeks old). When my sister returned to work, I was responsible for sole care of her eldest from five months of age 2x days a week. Since welcoming her second baby, I have regularly cared for both boys together while she attended brief appointments, ran errands, had a shower or caught up on sleep! I also act as an extra set of hands for her with attending any appointments or adventures out of the house - even if that’s just to assist in the backseat during car trips. I am therefore very comfortable working alongside parents as a mother’s helper and would be thrilled to be a part of your family’s journey. I hold a current WWCC and first aid training, a driver’s licence (green P’s) and my own car. If you think I would be a good fit for your family, please reach out as I'd love to hear from you! Many thanks, Crystal
