My name is BrĆd Madden, and Iām from Ireland. Iāll be relocating to Australia end of September early October , which Iām incredibly excited about. Iāve been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit over the years. I love to explore new cultures and new adventures, adapts quickly, and is always eager to embrace new experiences.
I have a double honors degree in Psychology and Education from Swansea University, and Iāve always had a deep passion for working with children. Over the past few years, Iāve gained a wide range of experience in childcare and youth work. Iāve worked at summer camps across Germany and the UK, where I was responsible not only for supervising and caring for children, but also for designing and leading engaging games and activities that were both fun and educational. As well as lesson planning and night supervision. These roles taught me how to balance fun with structure and gave me a solid foundation in working with young people of various ages and backgrounds. I have also volunteered with special Olympics and taught both adults and students with Down syndrome to swim and play football. Which I found very rewarding and further taught me about patience and communication.
One of my most rewarding roles was working as a Welfare Manager at the Alpadia Language Camp in London. In this position, I was responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers, managing a team of staff, coordinating daily schedules, resolving conflicts, and liaising with parents. It was a role that that thoroughly improved my communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and I found it incredibly fulfilling to create a positive, nurturing environment for both staff and students.
In addition to my camp experience, Iāve done a significant amount of babysitting, particularly with children with special needs, including those with Down syndrome, autism, and non-verbal communication styles. These experiences have taught me to be patient, empathetic, and attentive, and I always aim to create a calm, supportive, and joyful environment tailored to each child's unique needs.
When Iām not working, youāll most likely find me outdoors. I absolutely love being activeāwhether itās playing lacrosse, football, Gaelic football, swimming, or hiking. Iām always seeking out new experiences and adventures, and I thrive when Iām surrounded by nature and movement.
Another one of my passions is cooking. I love spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, trying out dishes from different cultures, and cooking nutritious meals for friends and family. Iād be delighted to share that joy in your home, whether itās preparing meals for the kids or baking together as a fun afternoon activity.
Overall, Iām a warm, dependable, and energetic person who genuinely enjoys caring for and connecting with children. I bring a strong work ethic, a sense of fun, and a commitment to creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment.
Please donāt hesitate to reach out if you have any questionsāIād be more than happy to chat!
Warm regards,
BrĆd Madden
