Ongoing 3 afternoons from school pick up to 6pm

Spotswood, VIC | 3 km

Start Date: 28 Apr 26
Applications Close: 23 May 26

Posted by Lyndsey 13 days ago

Job Details: Part-time

$35 per hour

Hi, we are looking for an ongoing amazing person to look after our two youngest children (6 and nearly 10) from school pick up (Yarraville) at our home (Spotswood, 10 min walk or 3 min drive!) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week from 330 to 6pm.

Our 10 yo has mild autism and ADHD and sometimes can be emotional, which is why we have opted down this path instead of continuing with after school care. He's highly sociable and no issue at all conversing with you. Our 6 year old can talk the ear off a donkey and is full of beans in a very positive way.

Both are sporty, great with reading and playing. They don't have screen time during school days/nights so they like to get outside or do craft etc.

If you can give them some snacks, potentially throw a dish in the oven for dinner and get them ready for sport (which is at 6 all three nights! Soccer) that would be amazing.

We do have a very friendly groodle, so you would ideally be dog friendly (and we have 2 rescue cats in case you're allergic!) but they are rarely home during the day (you may never see them!).

We do also have a 17 year old son, but he's living his best life and not around often (year 12, basketball, part time job!) but you'll get to know him as well.

Please contact me if you're interested. Thank you!

Seeking Nanny for 1 year old on Thursdays

Seddon, VIC | 5 km

Start Date: 05 Jun 26
Applications Close: 15 May 26

Posted by Carly 24 days ago

Job Details: Part-time

$28 per hour

Hello :)

My name is Carly, and my husband and I are seeking a nanny for one day per week, for our 12 month old boy.
I will be returning to work in June and we have care with family members for a couple of days already.
The third day we are hoping to find a nanny who will come to our house and look after our bub for the day while I work. I will be working from home on this day, so can assist with things like naps in the beginning while he adjusts.
A little bit about our boy, H: He is crawling and cruising and very likely on the verge of taking his first steps!
He loves reading books, climbing, exploring outside, going to the park, dancing to music and walks in the pram.
He is screen free so we’d love for our nanny to come up with montessori style activities and games. However he is very content just hanging out at the park or building (destroying) lego towers.
H is currently on 2 naps per day (total day sleep around 2.5 hours) he’s usually either rocked or fed to sleep and goes down easily although we’d need to practice with a new person putting him to sleep.

The hours would be 8:45am - 5pm roughly, we can be slightly flexible on this.

You will ideally be feeding him lunch, so a small amount of clean up after this would be desired.
During his naps, if there is any light housework such as hanging a load of washing or tidying up toys, etc that would be appreciated.

We live in a small house in Seddon, with a very friendly cat.

Who we’re hoping to find: we’d love a friendly, confident nanny who’s had experience with babies/toddlers. Someone who will become a reliable and trusted person in our life, and a weekly bestie that H looks forward to seeing!

Any questions, please feel free to message me. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Job Details: Part-time

$35 per hour

Looking for a lovely human to care for my 4.5month old daughter on Mondays 3-9:30pm, Tuesdays 2:45pm-10:30pm and Saturdays 10:15-6:30pm during the school term. Possible Sundays if you're willing and some school holiday hours possible too, tho not essential to employment. Ideally would love one person for all days but open to job sharing if necessary. Must have WWCC, police check and first aid training. Experience with babies a plus. Pay variable pending on experience and qualifications.

My beautiful 4.5month old girl is very chilled and happy. She loves having a chat, singing songs, walks in nature, reading books and being with people. She is an excellent night sleeper so evenings would be fairly relaxed for you. I am an ex performer turned dance teacher. I love to travel, go to the theatre, spend time at the beach and in nature. I'm easy going and whilst my hours are fixed, I have a great village that I can ask for help when needed so I am happy to work with you as best I can.

NEW! Mother's helper/after school babysitting

South Yarra, VIC | 11 km

Start Date: 11 May 26
Applications Close: 03 Jun 26

Posted by Sophie 2 days ago

Job Details: Part-time

$30 per hour

Hi, babysitters! I am looking for someone to work with our family on a weekly, part-time basis from Monday through Thursday afternoons/evenings at our home in South Yarra, near Hawksburn village. One-off babysitting help on the weekend would also be great as well, if you're open to it, if we have something on occasionally in the evenings.

My husband and I both work during the week, usually with at least one of us working from home, and we're seeking some assistance with entertaining the kids when they get home from school with activities like drawing, reading, doing puzzles, cooking/preparing dinner, kicking a ball in the backyard, playing at one of the nearby playgrounds... really anything except sitting them in front of the TV!

The kids usually eat dinner around 6pm, so when they sit down to eat we'd appreciate your help getting their bath ready and then cleaning up dinner once they're done (we will give them their bath and put them to bed). Very rarely would you be alone with the children, so we're happy to help as needed while we finish up work.

We have three children: a 6 year old boy, 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy. All three are at school/kinder during the day and finish up at different times in the afternoon, so during the afternoons you'd spend with us it would range from looking after 0 kids (when we're picking them up, and would appreciate your help with housework like tidying their bedrooms, folding laundry, preparing dinner, etc), to 1 kid, 2 kids or 3 kids max (for about an hour or so when they're all back from school).

The total weekly hours that we need are around 13, across the following schedule:

Monday: 4pm-7pm
Tuesday: 4pm-7pm
Wednesday: 3pm-7pm
Thursday: 4pm-7pm

It would be great if this could be completed by one babysitter, but we are also open to splitting it across two people on different days if that aligns better with the schedules for the right person.

Ideally, the right person for our family will be someone who is kind, warm and caring. Our kids are pretty easy going but of course, try to push the limits! We'd appreciate someone who is creative and can engage them in creative pursuits - they love everything with paint, play-doh, and anything tactile!

Any other questions - don't hesitate to reach out! Excited to welcome you to our family :)

Job Details: Part-time

$35 per hour

Take care of my toddler Penelope (birthday 31/07/24) and new baby (arriving mid-May) preferably on Mondays and Thursdays, although this is flexible - any 2 weekdays would work for me. Start at 8:30am and finish at 4pm at our Moonee Ponds house, with some flexibility. Option to increase hours/days when new baby arrives in mid-May.

Must like dogs - we have a cavoodle.

Penelope's middle-of-day nap is usually 2 hours-long. Household chores during this time eg vacuum/mop, laundry, cleaning up after meals, getting Penelope's next meal ready.

Flexibility is key because I may need more support (longer/extra days) when baby arrives. Also flexibility in terms of juggling new baby and Penelope with me.

Must have an updated vaccination for whooping cough (pertussis).

If you are interested, please respond to this ad and include the following: whether you are available on Mondays and Thursdays (and if not, what days you are available), a little about yourself and your experiences in nanny positions, where in Melbourne you live and your phone number. Job Details: Part-time

$35 per hour

Hi everyone! We are a Polish/South African (And now Australian) family of 4 looking for a wonderful nanny for our kids twice a week.

The job would include picking both kids up from school and then taking them to their after school activities twice a week - Wednesday 3:30 - 6pm and Thursday 3:30 - 7pm.
Drivers license essential. Would be great if you had your own car, but we do have one you could use - not a deal breaker. We live within walking distance to the school and their activities are also accessible by public transport if I need the car that day. Because we don’t have any family here, we would also like you to babysit occasionally if that’s an option.

Josie (7) and Sam (10) are very easy going and this role would be great for someone who actually loves spending time with, and interacting with kids. I know they'd also appreciate it if you sometime go with them into the wave pool at MSAC before their swim lessons on Thursdays :)

Job Details: Part-time

$30 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and warm nanny to care for our 11-month-old daughter, Sadie while we are in the office on Tuesday and Thursdays from 7:45am - 6pm.

Sadie is a smiley little girl who loves independent play, exploring the park, and watching trains. What We’re Looking For:
- Significant experience with infants and toddlers.
- A "proactive" mindset—someone who enjoys engaging with a child rather than just supervising.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- First Aid and CPR certifications.

Location:
We are located just off Sydney Road in Brunswick, with excellent access to the Upfield train line and the No. 19 tram. As we are in a central spot, a driver’s license is not required. If you do drive, please let us know so we can discuss local parking options.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send us a message with a bit about your experience with children Sadie’s age and your favorite toddler-friendly activity in the inner north. We look forward to hearing from you!
