Start Date: 27 Dec 25
Applications Close: 19 Mar 26

Posted by Alexis a month ago

Job Details: Part-time

$32 per hour

Hi there!
We live in Richmond, though it's more like Cremorne, and we have a baby who is 7 weeks old (as at December 21) and a son who is 3.5. I'm looking for someone to arrive early - 6am - on his daycare days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and help me get him ready for daycare and then walk him up to daycare. Depending on experience with babies, I'd also like it if you can hold the baby for me while I do jobs in the house or I could take my son to daycare instead some days while you hold the baby at home. Once my son is dropped at daycare, I'm hoping you can come back to our house and do an hour or two of housework including clothes washing or dish washing. The morning job would be about 6am - 10am.
In the evening, we're hoping someone can pick my son up from daycare, walk back to our house, and help me get dinner organised before bathing my son and prepping him for bed. The evening would be about 5pm - 7:30pm.
If interested, we could meet at our house and have a chat. Police check, working with children's check and first aid essential. Thank you! Alexis

NEW! Casual Babysitting for 3.5yo (Wednesdays) 🐥

Kew, VIC | 6 km

Start Date: 18 Feb 26
Applications Close: 18 Feb 26

Posted by Charlotte 5 hours ago

Job Details: Casual Babysitting

$35 per hour

Hello!

We are looking to meet a lovely (and very experienced) babysitter for Wednesdays from around 9:00AM - 12:30PM (ish) each week in February/March/April.

👩‍🎨 About the role:
We have a clever and quirky 3.5 year old!

The role will be about 3.5 hours per week on a Wednesday. We're hoping this can be an ongoing role, but we tend to decide week-to-week if the babysitting day is needed, so we have listed it as casual. The shift is on Wednesday mornings (9:00AM - 12:30PM tends to work). We work from home, so generally one or both of us will be home during the shift - but in a different area of the house.

📝 About you:
We are looking for someone who has experience working with children of a similar age. You have an interest in teaching young ones about life! We're looking to meet someone who is attentive, nurturing, patient, fun, caring, gentle and calm. We're looking to meet someone who has the energy to keep his developing mind busy (he's go go go!) He is sensitive and responds well to calm play (not too loud or intense).

We are hoping to meet someone who has experience with 3 year olds specifically and can help him with his general independence and learning about life.

👦 About the client:
Our 3.5 year old is a beautiful, quirky, clever and loves (LOVES) to chat! He loves when he is engaging with his favourite games and conversations - planets, numbers, learning new words and languages, maths, arts and crafts, reading, puzzles, books, quizzes, singing and imaginary play with his toys. He's a busy boy!

He is potty trained but still needs occasional assistance/reminding! A very, very selective eater but in this short shift we'll just provide his favourite snacks. A huge bonus if you've had experience with selective eaters (but not necessary). He's an avid learner and is happiest when he's learning or experimenting with something new.

👫About the parents:
We are both freelancers who work in music and the arts. We are openminded and we value honesty, humour, nature, kindness, empathy and compassion. We want to ensure the babysitters we work with feel supported and valued in their role!

I used to be a babysitter/nanny myself and met most of my babysitting clients on this website. I made so many amazing, longstanding connections with the families of the kids who are all grown up now and I still keep in touch with them and visit them 15-20 years later! Babysitting taught me so much that I am now applying as a Mamma.

We are looking forward to hearing from you. We will generally organise a phone call first, then a one hour trial period (to make sure it's the right fit for everyone).

Thanks,
Charlotte & family
