I am a warm, easy-going, and energetic individual with extensive experience working with children. Over the years, I’ve been involved in nannying, youth community service trips abroad, and volunteering in child-care centres. I am currently studying a postgraduate degree in psychology, which has deepened my passion for nurturing child neurodevelopment through stimulation, play, and adventure. I am reliable and hardworking, and value building positive, trusting relationships with every family I work with.
I spent two years caring for two wonderful boys, ages 2 and 5, and loved every minute of it. My role included getting them ready for the day, doing school pick-ups and drop-offs, and taking them to after-school activities. With the little one, our days were full of fun - whether it was trips to the beach, café outings, baking, playing games, or simply seeing what adventures the day would bring us. Along the way, I also made sure to keep the household running smoothly by tidying, doing laundry, and preparing light meals (I’m naturally very clean and organised!). Over time, I became like an extension of the family, even joining them at special occasions like weddings and summer holidays down along the coast. I love bringing a mix of care, energy, and fun into a child’s daily routine!
I am looking for 3-4 full days a week or 25-30 hours (preferably Mon-Thurs), with the capacity for ad-hoc babysitting when needed (subject to availability). I am unavailable for an immediate start as I have to provide my current work with three week's notice. However, I will activate my notice period at any given moment for the right family!
