Hi, my name is Jess! I’m currently studying a Law and Psychology double degree at Monash University. I’ve always loved working with children and have built up a range of experience over the years. I started coaching basketball in middle school, working with
my cousins prep boys team. I also coached a year 6 girls team from Year 10 to Year 12. These roles taught me patience, leadership, and how to adapt to different learning styles.
For the past year, I’ve been coaching tennis at Melbourne Grammar School with students from prep to Year 4 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This position has helped me develop strong communication skills, creativity in keeping lessons engaging, and the ability to manage groups of young children in a fun and safe way.
Alongside coaching, I’ve also been babysitting since I was 14, regularly looking after my five younger cousins (now aged 4–10). Babysitting has strengthened my responsibility, organisation, and problem-solving skills, as well as my ability to connect with kids on their level.
Having recently graduated from St Leonard’s College, I now have more availability and am excited to continue building on my experience supporting and caring for children in fun and positive ways.
