Hi I'm Katrina Ive been a nanny/mother's help/ domestic assistant for past 18 years. Have current WWCC, First aid and CPR in a child care setting. Own reliable fully insured vehicle I love having fun with children, meeting there needs. I am a Professional and experienced Nanny with over 20 years child care experience. During my career I have spent time working in childcare centres in various roles as Supervisor and Education leader then I moved on to Nanny for private families in their own home for the past 10 years. I am also very good at building Lego! craft activities Playing dress ups, board games like monopoly and especially UNO as well as outdoor activities like Soccer and bike riding! And lots of other Fun things! I have been with my current family for 2 years and previous family 8 years. With both employers I feel like I have become part of their family. I find being a nanny is very personal it is more than just a job and this is something I find very special. I’m a warm, caring and reliable early childhood professional with 20+ years’ experience in the early childhood education and care sector, including extensive hands-on experience with babies, newborns and infants (feeding, settling, sleep routines and early development). I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a current Working With Children Check, Poilce Check, an up-to-date First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, SIDS and Safe Sleep training. I also have extensive experience working with children with ADHD, Autism, and children who may not have an official diagnosis but may experience some difficulties with behaviour or expressing their emotions. I am a registered Circle of Security Facilitator - in both parent and classroom approaches. I prioritise kindness, building secure, reciprocal relationships and developing trust and connection. I am extremely patient, calm, compassionate and respectful - both personally and professionally. I am also flexible and respectful of each parents/families parenting approach. I have a full driver’s licence, my own car, I’m a non-smoker, and a big animal lover, so I’m very comfortable with pets. I’m also happy to help out with light housework, washing and meal prep. I live in Cessnock but am more than happy to travel. I dont have children of my own but I am fortunate enough to be an aunty to my young neices and nephews.
