My name is Jacinta Andrews. I am a university student at The University of Newcastle, currently studying a Double Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts/ Bachelor of Arts. Due to these studies a set availability schedule is difficult. I am a hard-working individual who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys taking on new challenges. I know working here will benefit me and my career path in the future as learning on the job will help me develop leadership qualities and skills. When at school, I participated as a volunteer in a variety of community settings, such as: Mini Vinnies, JUMP/Community service. These initiatives at MacKillop Catholic College involve me in fundraising, collecting donations and distributing food parcels. I also volunteered to lead school tours after hours for visiting officials and new families. I would set up stalls for games and or selling items of food for charitable events, such as Pancake Tuesday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or any day something important happens within the school. I also set up stores and second-hand uniforms on Tuesday mornings before school.

I am a Professional and experienced Nanny with over 20 years child care experience. During my career I have spent time working in childcare centres in various roles as Supervisor and Education leader then I moved on to Nanny for private families in their own home for the past 10 years. I am also very good at building Lego! craft activities Playing dress ups, board games like monopoly and especially UNO as well as outdoor activities like Soccer and bike riding! And lots of other Fun things! I have been with my current family for 2 years and previous family 8 years. With both employers I feel like I have become part of their family. I find being a nanny is very personal it is more than just a job and this is something I find very special. I will go out of my way to help the family any way that I can, I always go the extra mile and happy to help out any way I can to make their lives just that little bit easier. I have a great bond & love for children. I enjoy spending time with them watching them learn and grow, this is something I am very passionate about.
