Hi! My name is Rachael and I’m a 32-year-old female who grew up on the North Shore of Sydney. After spending some time living in regional Victoria, I’ve recently relocated back to NSW to complete a Master’s in Clinical Psychology.
I’ve been babysitting on and off since I was 14 years old and have also worked in childcare, including running after-school care programs. I’m comfortable caring for children of all ages and have a lot of hands-on experience through both my professional roles and as an actively involved aunty to my nieces and nephews prior to relocating.
Alongside my studies, I currently teach undergraduate psychology units at ACAP and Macquarie University. I’m looking to pick up babysitting again for some extra work alongside my university commitments. I generally prefer evening babysitting, as my study and teaching schedule is quite full, though I may be able to make occasional exceptions.
I’m a non-smoker and consider myself reliable, calm, and respectful. I place a strong emphasis on safety, consistency, and creating a warm, supportive environment for children. I hold a current Working With Children Check and have a full driver’s licence.
I’m happy to help with after-school routines, homework, dinner, and bedtime, and I’m always mindful of following family routines and preferences.
