Hello, My name is Anaïs, I’m 32 years old, and even if that might sound surprising for an au pair, I decided to take a chance in Australia after going back to university at 28. I’ve always wanted to travel, learn new things, and grow personally. Becoming an au pair has always been a dream, but I focused on my career first. Today, I see it as a wonderful opportunity to improve my English while taking care of children, which I truly enjoy. The people I miss the most right now are my two nephews, aged 8 and 11, who bring me so much happiness and with whom I’ve shared unforgettable moments. I’m a simple, sporty, and curious person, looking for an enriching life experience. I’ve been in Australia for 7 months, and although my English has improved a lot, I haven’t yet had the chance to be fully immersed with English-speaking people. I’d really love to keep improving my English while sharing my own culture and language. I’m organised, responsible, and creative. I love cooking, doing various activities with kids, and creating a happy, caring environment. My age might not make me the “typical” au pair, but I believe my maturity and life experience are real strengths for this role. For full transparency, I am an occasional smoker, but never around children or indoors. I’m available from the end of the month, currently living in Miners Rest (Ballarat), and I’ve been working for the past 5 months in a racehorse stable.
